He later moved to Sotteville close to the pretty harbor of Honfleur.  At the beginning of his artistic career, he was an art restorer for the French National Museum, including the Louvre.  He painted mostly in oil on painting cardboard and his main subject matters were scenes at the beach and the harbor of his home country. He died in 1990!
